Official brand guidelines for identity, color, and uniform usage.
Founded on a barstool in a Denver dive bar after a particularly embarrassing 11-1 loss, the Colorado Avocados rose from the ashes of a team that could barely stand on skates — and turned themselves into a team that can mostly stand on skates.
We are a beer league hockey team in the truest sense of the word. Our pregame ritual involves more debate over post-game pitcher orders than actual strategy. Our power play has been described by opponents as "confusing" — not because it's clever, but because nobody, including us, knows what's happening. Our captain once showed up wearing two left gloves and still had the best game of the season.
But make no mistake — when the puck drops, we hustle. We backcheck like our bar tabs depend on it (they do — losers buy). We block shots with body parts that our doctors have specifically asked us to stop blocking shots with. We may not have the fastest skaters, the hardest shots, or any discernible system of play, but we have heart. And matching socks. Usually.
The name? Legend has it a teammate showed up to our first game eating a whole avocado with a spoon straight out of the skin. Someone said "this guy's an absolute avocado" and somehow that stuck harder than any of our passes ever have. We slapped a Colorado C on it, paired it with a puck, and a dynasty was born. A beer league dynasty, sure — but a dynasty nonetheless.
We are the Colorado Avocados. We are Los Avos. And we are open to sponsorship from any guacamole brand willing to have us.
This brand guide serves as the single source of truth for the Colorado Avocados visual identity. It was created so that our team, partners, and community members can reference approved logos, colors, and uniform designs at any time — ensuring consistency across every touchpoint.
Whether you're designing custom apparel, creating fan content, or producing official team materials, this guide provides the assets and specifications you need to represent the Colorado Avocados brand accurately and with confidence.
The Colorado Avocados identity uses a family of marks. Each serves a specific purpose and should be used accordingly.

The avocado half with hockey puck. Use as the primary logo for featured placements, merchandise, center ice, and all primary brand applications.

The avocado-inspired C mark. Use as a secondary icon for avatars, favicons, social media profiles, and compact placements.

The "Los Avos" script wordmark. Use on jerseys, apparel, and marketing where the full name needs emphasis.
Our palette is drawn from the avocado itself — from its rich green skin to the warm tones of its flesh and pit.
Main Green
Secondary Green
Brown
Tan
Gold
Main Green (#076e40) is the dominant brand color. Use it for backgrounds, headers, and primary UI elements. Pair with Tan for text and accents on green backgrounds.
Brown and Gold serve as supporting colors for depth and warmth. Secondary Green adds energy and should be used sparingly for accents and highlights.
Two jersey sets define the on-ice identity: the green home sweater and the cream "Los Avos" away alternate.

Maintain brand integrity by following these rules when using any Colorado Avocados assets.
Maintain a minimum clear space around all logos equal to the height of the primary mark's puck. No other elements should encroach on this space.
The primary mark should never be reproduced smaller than 32px in digital or 0.75 inches in print. The secondary C mark should not go below 24px or 0.5 inches.
Logos may appear on brand green, brown, tan, or white backgrounds. Avoid placing logos on busy photographs without sufficient contrast.
Never stretch, rotate, recolor, or add effects (shadows, gradients, outlines) to the logos. Use only the approved color versions.
Always use the exact hex values specified. Do not approximate colors. For print, request official Pantone values from the brand team.
When the Colorado Avocados mark appears alongside partner logos, ensure equal or greater prominence. Contact the brand team for approvals.
